The Egyptian Theatre is a 1929, fully restored, Egyptian Art Deco movie palace, operated and staffed by the volunteer group, P.E.T. Inc. (Preservation of the Egyptian Theatre). Listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, the Egyptian is home to 20+ local performing arts groups and shows classic movies. The Egyptian is also available for rentals, tours, weddings, graduations, small parties and receptions.
Mission Statement: The Preservation of the Egyptian Theatre (PET) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, respecting and sharing the Egyptian Theatre while protecting the historical integrity of the building. It is also our mission to promote community cohesiveness through the shared experience of the arts by being a center for the visual and performing arts through innovation and leadership.
