The first ever Sycamore Ribs, Rhythm & Brews Fest will be held August 22 from 5:00 to 11:00pm downtown, Sycamore on Somonauk Street. Ribs, Rhythm & Brews Fest consists of award-winning rib vendors from across the county, craft beer, and crowd-pleasing musical entertainment from headliner, Back Country Roads with opening act Johnny & The Boomers and live entertainment from Behind the Beats Productions, DJ Toxic!
Guests can raise their glasses and sip craft beer from all over the nation. Brews will be featured from Kona Brewing Co. (Hawaii), Founders Brewing Co. (Michigan), Goose Island Beer Co. (Chicago), and last but certainly not least Forge Brew House right here in Sycamore. “We are proud to host a local brewery in our line-up, Forge Brew House has added a great dynamic to Sycamore,” said Rose Treml, Executive Director of the Sycamore Chamber of Commerce.
Delicious ribs and side dishes will be served up by multiple vendors and compete for the title of RR&B Fest Champion. “We are lucky to have so many wonderful caterers in the area, their talents will really have the opportunity to shine during this event,” said Treml.
Bringing the rhythm to the RR&B Fest stage will be Back Country Roads! “We are very excited to have Back Country Roads this year, they are a favorite in Northern Illinois and continue to build a wide fan base,” said Treml. They have played at events such as Country Thunder and opened for national acts such as Phil Vassar, Darryl Worley, David Lee Murphy, Neal McCoy, Steel Magnolia, Keith Anderson and Easton Corbin. They play mostly current Top 40 Country hits, with a few older selections and some originals in the mix as well. Johnny & The Boomers will be opening the festival playing Chicago blues and rock ‘n roll favorites.
