Santa Claus is coming all the way from the North Pole to visit Sycamore for Walk with Santa and the Courthouse Tree Lighting. Mark the calendar for Friday, December 3rd, because this special event only comes around once a year. Walk with Santa is brought to you by The National Bank and Trust Company of Sycamore.
Beforehand, warm up at the Midwest Museum of Natural History at 4:00pm with cookies, hot chocolate and a craft project. Museum guests arriving at 4:00 or later: $2/person (adult or child). Museum guests arriving before 4:00: regular admission.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive on a fire truck courtesy of the Sycamore Fire Department at the Midwest Museum of Natural History at 5:30pm. Be there to greet Santa and parade with him down State Street to the Courthouse lawn for the traditional tree lighting. Stay and visit with Santa while singing along with the Choir from the Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. John. Enjoy complimentary holiday hot chocolate and delicious cookies compliments of Salem Lutheran Church of Sycamore.
Santa takes time off from his workshop to vacation in Sycamore during the holiday season. His “vacation home” is located on the courthouse lawn and is open for visitors from December 3rd– 19th. His hours are Fridays 5-7pm, Saturdays 11-2pm and Sundays 12-2pm. Santa’s house in downtown Sycamore has his own personal mailbox! Be sure that Santa receives your wish list this year by delivering it yourself.
