Artist’s registration opens in July!
Join us for our annual Downtown Sycamore Chalk Walk, a vibrant celebration of creativity and community! Artists ages 12 and up are invited to register for $25 through Eventbrite, securing their spot with a sidewalk square surrounding the DeKalb County Courthouse and chalk to create their masterpieces.
Event Highlights:
- Art Competition: Artists check in at 9 a.m. and begin to transform the sidewalk into colorful canvases. Winners will be announced at 4 PM, with top creators (voted by attendees) winning cash from over our $1,000 cash prize pool.
- Viewer Participation: Stroll through the artwork and vote for your favorite artist using colorful tokens.
- Children’s section: Children 11 and under are able to participate for free in the KIDS ZONE! We will also be offering FREE FacePaint for all!Â

But day of artist registration will be available at the Discover Sycamore Tent on the Courthouse Lawn from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. for $40
